  • Generous giving, God-given gifts and going with the gospel

    Acts 2; selected verses – Pt. 2

Acts 2:37 (ESV) Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

Acts 2:42-47 (ESV) And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers…

Big Idea: Our impact to REACH ONE FOR CHRIST is forged by the depth of our devotion to cultivate generous hearts, use our God-given gifts for gospel impact, and going out to share the good news!

    Break It Out:

    1. What initially grabs your attention in this text? What questions or thoughts arise as you reflect on what it is saying?

    Talk It Out:

    Begin with reading Psalm 51.

    2. What resolutions do you typically set at the beginning of the year? How can you redefine them to align with a heart that glorifies God?

    3. Discuss the five key principles of giving outlined in your sermon notes. How can we apply these principles to ensure our giving reflects our love for Christ and supports the mission of the Church?

    4. What spiritual gifts do you believe you have been blessed with, and how can you actively utilize them for serving others within your church and community?

    5. In what ways can we step outside our comfort zones to serve others? Share any personal experiences where serving others led to spiritual growth or a greater understanding of God's love.

    6. Why is it vital to recognize that the gospel is for everyone? How can we better embrace this message in our day-to-day lives?

    7. How can understanding that our spiritual impact extends beyond our lifetime change the way we approach serving and giving?

    8. Reflect on the question, “One minute after I die, what will I wish I had given away while I still had the chance?” How does this question influence your perspective on prioritizing generosity and sharing the gospel today?

    Work It Out:

    9. What action step(s) will you take based on what you’ve learned from God and His word?

    10. How can your growth group pray for you?
