VERDE YOUTH MINISTRY

Arrive at 5:45 pm on Sundays for our Middle & High School Youth Ministry. Join us for pizza, a BBQ, or even a peanut butter and jelly bar…games, bible study, and small group time! Our youth ministry is from 6:00 – 7:30 pm with hangout time before and afterward. Get involved with our once-a-month big event (one Friday night a month), summer/winter camp, and mission trips! Verde Assistance Ministry

At Verde Community Church, we know that during the Covid-19 pandemic or just sometimes in life, it can be difficult to make ends meet. We want you to know there is hope.

If you need assistance please complete the request form and a member of our compassion ministry team will contact you regarding your next step. Verde Assistance Ministry is part of the compassion ministry at Verde Community Church.

Mom Connect Jewelry Exchange

Moms, join us on Friday, March 20 at 6:00PM in the Verde Chapel for a night of fun and fellowship at our first annual Jewelry and Accessory Exchange. Come hear speaker, Demi Corkery, share about Young Life and how it’s reaching the youth in our community. Free Italian themed dinner provided for moms. Free Childcare for ages 0-6 years old in nursery. All remaining items will be donated to Verde Valley Sanctuary.

Verde Mom Connect is for moms with children ages 0-high school, including expectant moms.

SMALL GROUPS

THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU!

Our vision at Verde is to have everyone in our church involved in either a Small Group or another similar small group experience.

WHAT IS A GROWTH GROUP?

Here at Verde, Small Groups are made up of 8 – 14 people just like you. They’re the place where the real ministry of the church takes place as we study God’s Word, encourage one another and share life together.

Small Groups are led by trained leaders and meet on various days of the week in homes throughout the Verde Valley. An average meeting includes refreshments and lasts for an hour and a half. We have fall and spring semester growth groups that last 10 weeks. At the end of each session, you will have the choice of staying in the same group, trying a new group or even taking a break. During the summer months, most growth groups take a break.

Most groups are sermon-based where you get to roll up your sleeves and discuss how Sunday’s sermon works in real life. Some are special interest groups focusing on topics such as parenting, marriage, healthy living and Christian basics for new believers.

FALL SEMESTER SMALL GROUPS: SEPTEMBER THROUGH MID-NOVEMBER.

“Walk For Life”

Friday Night September 27th

Save the date for House of Ruth’s annual Walk for Life on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Verde Community Church in Cottonwood, AZ. You are invited to “light the night” by participating in House of Ruth’s 30th Walk for Life. In honor of our 30th walk, we will be hosting our very first nighttime GLOW Walk for Life.

Old Town Mission’s Operation: Back To School

July 27

We are partnering with Old Town Mission…to provide families in need with backpacks filled with school supplies for students in our community. You can help by donating new backpacks and school supplies such as glue sticks, crayons, #2 pencils, composition books, markers, hand sanitizers, kleenex, ruled notebook paper, pencil sharpeners, and sharpies.

Drop off your supplies on Sundays or in the church office.

The event will include “The Good News Expo”, special performances, hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, games and prizes, bouncy house, slides and more!

No one is immune from the storms of life. You either have been in one, you are currently going through one, or you are about to be in one soon!

“Then Jesus got into the boat and His disciples followed Him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “what kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!”

We are currently looking for volunteers to help in Verde Kids Ministry. We have a variety of volunteer needs to choose from.
